Our Environmental Promises
100% Organic Cotton
A healthy crop requiring much less water to produce than a conventional crop and no pesticides, insecticides, etc. A wise choice if you want to combine quality and skin-friendliness.
Recycled Textiles
Cotton and polyester. This involves re-using fibres from clothing offcuts, in the case of recycled cotton, or transforming non-renewable material such as plastic bottles into recycled polyester.
Eco Friendly & Vegan Dyes
Our clothing is printed using water-based inks, 100% eco-certified by OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT and is VEGAN. Our inks are non-hazardous, toxin-free, biodegradable, and contain no animal by products.
Recycled Packaging Materials
We prioritise packaging made of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics made from items recycled every day, like plastic bags & bottles. Choosing PCR over non recycled plastics reduces the impact on our planet.
Sustainability
Gentle on the planet…
We prioritise use of sustainable and organic materials in our collections wherever feasible. And while we don’t own the factories that produce our product materials, machinery and inks, we do vet our suppliers and their processes to the best of our ability to ensure they meet high environmental and ethical standards. We prioritise suppliers that are members of or approved by the following associations:
Fair Wear
A non-profit body striving to improve working conditions in the textile industry, Fair Wear implements a Code of Practice along member’s supply chains and checks compliance by monitoring audits and remediation efforts. Annual reporting by member companies and by Fair Wear itself promotes transparency at all levels.
Peta Approved Vegan
Ensures that clothing is animal friendly and cruelty free, that it does not contain leather, fur, wool, skin, exotic skins or any other animal-derived fabric or exploit animals either through destruction of their habitats or experimentation.
Oeko-Tex
An independent certification and testing system, testing the safety and skin friendliness of textiles for end users.
Organic Content Standard (OCS) & Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
Membership of these organisations guarantees a fully organic product using no harmful inks and sustainable production methods. It also guarantees that the cotton is grown without the use of genetically modified seeds or harmful chemicals.
Our production partner, Printful, embroiders our products with Oeko-Tex™ certified threads, meaning they’re safe for both adult and children's clothing. Compared to printing, embroidery is generally more durable and produces less environmental waste.
and:
Our products are made especially for you as soon as you place an order ('on demand'), which is why it may take a bit longer to deliver to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction.
All our apparel products are packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. The amount of PCR in the packaging will differ depending on where your order gets printed, but it’s at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags used in multi-item shipments. PCR packaging is made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, however, choosing PCR over first-use plastics reduces the environmental impact plastic has on our planet. Paper/cardboard is also used for packaging many other products. Also, we support use of leading carbon-neutral postal operators to deliver your wonderful packages.
